A long-awaited bridge, which connects Copenhagen’s Nyhavn and Christianshavn districts, is officially opened. It’s been a long process, but now the pedestrian and cycling bridge is ready to use. Inderhavnsbro (the Inner Habour Bridge), locally known as “kissing bridge”, consists of two moving platforms that can slide outward, leaving a gap for the boats to pass. The bridge makes it easier for thousands of people to commute from one area to another, and makes Copenhagen even more friendlier for cyclists. The 180 meters long and 8 meters wide bridge is the third bridge in the inner harbour.
